The intersex flag is distinguished by a purple circle within a yellow triangle, located on the left side of a progressive pride flag. The original LGBTQIA+ Pride flag, also known as the rainbow flag, represents the community at large, while the addition of the yellow and purple circle within the flag represents intersex people, along with trans and non-binary people.

The circle represents wholeness and completeness, as well as the right to bodily autonomy and genital integrity, according to Intersex Human Rights Australia (formerly OII Australia).
